Sebastian smiled, and for the first time in her life he smiled freely. He shrugged. "I suppose I am, but that's what I am here for, no?" ((Did you mean first time in his life, or were u referring to Valerie?)) ~The next day~ ((catching up with other characters - has anyone noticed that the entire events of this rp has been in 1 day so far?[question mark] Lol...)) Valerie had decided to sleep indoors that night, although she found her new bed [~Now sleeps in master's room~] too soft for her liking, and in the end she went over and slept on a small couch at the end of the room. When the morning came, she expected to be woken as usual from the sun coming through her window, but she had forgotten that this room had large, dark curtains, and when she did wake up, it was nearly midday. "Argh! It's like midday already!"

Again the pain exploded inside Max's head. This time his eyes snapped open. The pain the sudden light gave him caused him to throw up, scream and shut them again.

[[no, i meant her life. i mean that whilst she was alive and her father was his master he never smiled]] Sebastian entered when he knew she had awoken. He had not wanted to disturb her, today was going to be a trying day anyway, she needed all the sleep she could get. "Did you sleep well Master?" he asked, balancing a tray of delicious food in one hand as he opened the door with his other.
Darid heard a scream, raised an eyebrow, moved his pan of the flame and hurried upstairs. He saw his guest lying in a pool of his own vomit, and he gagged slightly. "Are you ok?"

Valerie slumped back down with a groan.
"I'm so tired! I usually get up at dawn! Why is it midday and I'm tired?![question mark]!"
She sat up again quickly however, when she smelt the delicious food on the tray. Suddenly she felt quite awake.

Sebastian laughed, placing the food on a small table next to the now open window. "Because you had such an eventful day yesterday. Did you think you would be as normal after everything had happened?"

"I dunno," Valerie said through a mouthful of lovely jam on toast. "So..." she said between mouthfuls of egg, "you may think it's weird I'm on the couch, by the way. It's just... it was a bit too comfortable over there on the bed. I think either I'll bring my old bed in here, or else just go back to sleeping outside..."

Sebastian just smiled, pottering about the room neatening things up. "Oh no Master, you are welcome to sleep on anything you wish in here. It is the Master's room. Your great grandfather, Master Hectate used to sleep in the top shelf of the bookshelf." he said brightly, gesturing to the small shelf, now filled with books. "Oh... You cannot sleep outside." he said gravely. "You are the leader of the clan, it would cause problems if anyone saw you sleeping outside."

Thespia gasped for air as she emerged from the icy depths from the lake. Coming here had been a good idea in her mind; this was the first proper wash she had had in ages; even though she had just jumped in fully clothed. Her tunic needed a rinse also; she reasoned to herself. She grinned happily and began a steady stroke back to the shoreline where she could just glimpse the caravans and tents that made up her people's encampment.

With his eyes still tightly shut, Max gurgled indignantly, "No! I am not ok!"

Darid laughed, pulling of the white gloves he had been cooking with. "Ah, I see, you must not drink often. Having some water will help." he said, disappearing down the stairs, returning with a glass jug filled with chilled water, and a glass. He poured the glass and held it out to Max.

Max took it and drank deeply - hoping above all hope that it would work. His stomach was slightly settled, but the pain in his head did not go away.

Darid smiled, though he restrained his laughter, reasoning that probably wouldn't help the headache he imagined Max had. "I'm sorry, I wouldn't have let you drink so much if I knew you didn't drink often. I'll go get some hangover medicine." he said, padded back down the stairs to the kitchen.

Valerie swallowed the last of her food, surprised to see it all gone so quickly, but feeling fuller than she had in days.
"Okay... I'm going out into town, see if there's any new around. Better than hanging around here with my suicidal mother..."
She jumped out of bed - or rather couch - still fully dressed from the previous day, and walked out briskly, tying her belt with her double swords attached on the way - just in case.

Oswin walked through the town, buying what supplies he thought that they needed. Hm, there sure are allot of Pixie's around today.

'Ahh Master, you have duties to attend to first." Sebastain called, hurrying after her.

Valerie paused.
Confound it!
"What duties, exactly?"

"You need to attend to the letters, the invitations, the timetables, and the social events pending." he said matter-of-factly.

((Why the bold writing?))
Valerie's shoulders slumped. "Fine!" she hissed, sweeping out of the room, glowering at the random maid that happened to be passing.

Thespia tapped the side of her head until all the water was fully drained from her ears. Then she twisted her arms to untie the strings of her dripping wet smock; she intended to join Oswin in the town, and although unbothered to actually dry herself off... she was willing to change her clothes.
So Thespia pulled a scarlet coloured dress out of her wooden chest and went to join Oswin in the town.

[[on my other rping sites ive seemed to have gotten in to the habit of bolding the script where my characters are speaking. in long posts it makes it easier to identify dialogue, so nobody mind me if i keep doing it here]]
Sebastian frowned, following her into the Master's work room. It was filled with bookshelves, and contained a large oak desk on which were neat piles of paper. "There was no need to be so rude to the maid, she had done nothing to you." Sebastian said firmly, ushering her to the desk.

((Why does Sebastian keep following me?! I know he's the master's servant, but every time I go anywhere he always pops up!))
Valerie sat down heavily at the desk, and without a word pulled the nearest pile of papers before her. Feeling quite depressed - she started opening them (they were letters, btw).
She recieved a shock, when after two boring business letters, there was one that was sent by the master of the Harts.

Opening the letter with a look of first confusedness, and then suspicion - Valerie found parchment yellowed with age, and unfolded it slowly...
